Breda Morrissey became her husband’s carer after he received a life-changing injury almost 25 years ago, and she says a Yes-Yes vote in the upcoming referendum will “shine a light” on the overlooked work of family carers.
Ms Morrissey’s husband, Timmy, was seriously injured in a car accident in 1999 and the Cork woman says there has since been little change in the government approach to caring.
