Eurail Passes are the most complete offer to travel by train in Europe. Among the passes that Eurail offer to travellers outside Europe, are the Eurail Global Pass and the Eurail Select Pass.
The Eurail Global pass is the most complete offer of the Eurail passes. As of January 2013, the Eurail Global Pass covers 24 European countries, including the newcomer: Turkey. The other countries which can be visited by train using an Eurail Global pass are: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Luxemburg, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland. As such, all the countries included in the Eurail Global pass make it an interesting deal to travel. Travellers can choose to travel every day within 15, 21 days, 1 month, 2 months or 3 months. They can alternatively choose to travel a total of 10 or 15 days within 2 months. The Eurail Global pass is available on the Rail Europe website, which can also be consulted for more information.
The Eurail Select pass will experience a major change in 2013 as well. Indeed France will no longer be included in the list of countries which can be selected for holders of a Eurail Select pass. Travellers can still visit France at a bargain price though! First the change will be effective as from January 2013. This means Eurail Select passes with France included will be sold up to the 31st December 2012. Buying now is a great way to travel in 2013. Travellers are advised that the 2012 Eurail Select pass must be validated within 6 months from the date of purchase. There is also the France Rail Pass, for those who have missed out buying the Eurail Select on the 31st December 2012.
The Eurail Select pass will also include Turkey as a newcomer. One of the best destinations of Europe and Asia, Istanbul is a city that will charm everyone.
