Amazon Prime Day 2022 is still going today. The two-day sale for Prime members is running through to midnight on Wednesday 13th July in UK—if only Santa Claus would extend Christmas in similar fashion. Santa isn’t visiting us in the height of Summer, but we are being delivered a wodge of deals regardless.
WIRED has duly obliged and selected the true deals from top brands like Google, LG and Samsung as well as some lesser known picks from Meater, Blueair and Nothing. All prices listed are the genuine discounts on recent prices.
The Inspire 2 is one of our favourite fitness trackers, for its low price, ease-of-use, and comfortable fit. Fancier features like detailed swim tracking and stairs climbed aren’t here but you do get solid sleep tracking and a strong battery life—all for under £50 for Prime Day.
The Asus VivoBook range has sat atop our budget laptops guide for some time and while our top recommendation is a higher spec than this, you still get the same quality keyboard and design. We wouldn’t recommend this for more serious productivity users but, for those only browsing in a few tabs or taking in movies, this won’t steer you wrong.
There’s plenty of low-price bargains this Prime Day but this is not one of them. You’ll still be shelling out almost £2,000 on the Blade 17 laptop but it’s a solid offer if a gaming and creator powerhouse machine is what you’re after. This particular model will suit serious gamers, with a Full HD 360Hz display and an RTX 3070 GPU.
The Echo Show 5 jazzes up the simple and small appeal of the Amazon Echo Dot, offering up digital photos and visual feedback for things like the weather, music, and more. You can use this mini display with video calling too. It’s a cheap way to get into, or expand, your Alexa smart home.
Amazon pioneered the ridiculously cheap streaming device but Roku has now caught up, with this Express 4K packing in UHD and HDR streaming alongside dual-band Wi-Fi, all for under £20. Netflix, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, and more are all expectedly here. Roku’s remote with voice search and speedy shortcuts is handy too.
This Roomba is down to under £200 for Prime Day and comes with a solid selection of time-saving features. This robot-vacuum’s three-stage cleaner system keeps both carpets and hard floors clean. It’ll map out your home and learn what it needs to dodge, and there’s also built in Alexa and Google Assistant support for even less required effort on your part.
These Bose headphones are our favourite earbuds for noise cancelling and, having been out for some time, are now available for more than £100 less than its initial release price. Along with the ANC capabilities, there’s a lively sound too. The battery life isn’t amazing and the charging case is large but, for noise-cancelling fans, these remain a top pick.
Amazon surprised many with the second generation of its Echo Buds, with a low price, solid sound, and simple pairing. The discount here isn’t huge but, also, isn’t bad for an already cheap product. You’ll be able to find the best fit too, with different eartips and fins included in the box.
This is the simpler version of our top pick blender for healthy smoothies among blenders, but it’ll still get the job done. The Auto-IQ technology lets you select a relevant program to let the blender do the work and give you your decided results. You get two 700ml cups included, letting you blend right in them and take them on the go.
Apple devices rarely get true discounts and this one isn’t huge but, given it’s rarity, it makes this offer worth considering. The Series 7 gives you all the watchOS smartwatch goodness alongside a new larger Always-on Retina display.
When it comes to gaming laptops, there is no better combination of style, portability and performance than the Razer Blade 14. Some may surpass it in one or two of those ways but if you want to prioritise all three, this is the machine for you. A discount of well over £300 this Prime Day.
The Sony XM4 headphones are excellent, and they’ve been called that time and time again since release. The new XM5 model is out now but it’ll set you back over £150 more than these discounted cans. These headphones remain a superb buy—strong noise cancellation, good battery life, and an overall amazing listen.
They may have been slightly outshone by the Sony XM4 headphones but Bose’s NC 700 are great in their own right, especially at well under £200. You get superb noise cancelling, detailed sound, and a stylish design all bundled together here.
Anker’s SoundCore speakers have been popular Prime Day picks for a while now. This latest model is down to under £40. Along with stereo sound, 24-hour battery life and IPX7 waterproofing, there’s PartyCast technology that will let you link up to 100 SoundCore speakers. Though two or three is just fine, too.
After a long time with the 4K model being the top dog, Amazon finally introduced a new Max variant at the high-end of its streaming stick lineup. £5 isn’t a huge discount but it’s already a low price. For your money, you get 4K streaming, Wi-Fi 6 and all the key apps you’d expect in 2022.
Vacuum cleaner savings are a staple of Amazon Prime Day and Vax has obliged. The Blade 3 Pet cordless vacuum cleaner offers up to 40 minutes of battery life, a motorised pet tool for shifting your extra family member’s pesky hairs as well as antimicrobial protection to keep your bristles lasting longer.
This isn’t the latest JBL Flip 5 available but opting for the older model gets you an impressive speaker for around £40 less than the modern version. This Flip 5 still offers big sound with a good amount of portability as well as IPX7 waterproofing and battery for up to 12 hours.
Xiaomi’s Poco sub-brand has produced some of the best budget phones of recent years and its latest X4 Pro 5G continues the trend. For well under £250 for Prime Day, you get plenty of RAM and storage as well as a fast and bright 120Hz AMOLED display. There’s a hefty 5000mAh battery too.
The OnePlus 10 Pro (7/10, WIRED Recommends) took some time to arrive in the West but, once it did, it was clearly a solid offering. The camera doesn’t quite match competitors but its bright 120Hz display, speedy charging and top performance make it a good option—especially for OnePlus fans.
Samsung’s flagship S-series phones may get a lot of the attention but its A-series and M-series have plenty to offer too. The M52 is a cheap way into Samsung’s range of products and offers the brand’s reliable build quality and solid screen as well as room for additional MicroSD storage up to 1TB. It’s a good package for under £250.
The HP Omen 15 range is one of the most well-priced portable PC gaming options, offering great AMD/Nvidia team-ups and typically at a fair price. This model comes with a mid-tier spec, with an RTX 3060 and AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor. 16GB RAM is a solid amount for the price and the same goes for the 512GB SSD storage.
The Nothing Phone 1 is on its way very soon but you shouldn’t forget about its first product. The Ear 1 wireless earbuds aren’t quite as game-changing as Carl Pei’s pomp might lead you to believe but they are remarkably well-priced earbuds that look pretty cool too.
This big screen budget television from Hisense may be a 2020 model but it has the specs and a suitably low price to pique interest. Along with 4K resolution, this 43-inch TV comes equipped with Alexa built-in and Freeview Play.
These cheap and cheerful wireless earbuds are much more than their unassuming looks. You’ll find good sound and strong battery life here, alongside some comfortable and unobstructive in-ear buds. For a shade under £50, there are few better.
Sony decided to go chonky for its latest generation controller, finally catching up to Xbox. The controller itself offers great haptics and a futuristic look, now for under £50. The original White version was ok but the new range of colours, including this Cosmic Red, do add a good bit of personality.
Smart plugs are pretty standard fare these days but who only needs one plug socket? This Kasa Wi-Fi Power Strip offers up three outlets and two USB-A ports—all of which can be turned on and off from your phone independently. Over £20 is quite a bit more than your standard power strip but it brings a ton of convenience.
Amazon and Apple may have the run of much of the tablet market, from super budget to user-friendly and reliable but Samsung has plenty to offer as well. This Tab A8 offers the brand’s signature style in a cheap package. This isn’t a powerhouse device but, for under £150, you get a tablet that’ll do the job when it comes to watching videos and browsing social media.
The GoPro HERO8 Black is one of our top action cameras, for its great camera, stablisation and range of video modes. This bundle also gets you a spare rechargeable battery, protective housing, and a carry case—and, it’s a solid £100 off too.
Most streaming sticks are cheap and straightforward but this Nvidia device is the powerhouse of the category. If you fancy playing some Android games, getting top notch AI upscaling or trying out Nvidia’s game streaming tech, this is the streamer to get.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 isn’t quite the fully-fledged Surface Pro X, but without the compatibility issues, that many hoped for. However, it was a lofty goal and it’s still the slimmest and highest performing Surface Pro yet. For under £800, you’re getting top-notch productivity performance in a super-portable design.
We found this simple gadget to be useful if you’re getting into cooking more delicate cuts of meat or larger joints. The app isn’t the most modern-looking but it functions exactly how it should. You place the probe in and then the app will keep you up to date with how the temperature is rising and also give you instructions on resting. This “Plus” model comes with enhanced range too.
At the height of summer, pollen can be a nightmare for hayfever sufferers, and an air purifier like this one from Blueair can certainly help. This model comes recommended as one of our favourite air purifiers around. It has a simple design, the filter is easy to change and we’re fans of its one touch control system. A Prime Day reduction to £100 makes the Blue Pure 411 superb value.
