As outlined in the Financial Post, Google’s revenue rose 31 per cent year-on-year, with the figure coming in at $13.97 billion for the quarter, exceeding the expectations of company bosses and industry experts. One of the highlights was a four per cent decrease in theCost per Click (CPC) on Google ad’s, suggesting that marketers are now willing to pay more for the ads distributed to smartphones and tablets. Google owned sites generated $8.64 billion, with partner sites generating $3.26 billion through Google AdSense. The company market value now stands at $250 billion, trailing just Apple Inc as the most valuable technology organisation.
