Gin is in! This classic spirit is enjoying a resurgence in popularity with artisan distilleries around the world putting their own modern spin on our favourite tipple. It’s what drove serial entrepreneur and founder of magazine subscription company isubscribe Andrew Burge to establish the Gin Society (https://ginsociety.com./), a members’ club for gin lovers, in December 2018.
The Sydney-based gin subscription service aims to showcase premium small distilleries — whether it be craft, local, international or something a little different — with gin lovers and enthusiasts looking to explore new and unique gins.
Each month, Gin Society members, for AU$95, receive a full-sized bottle of artisan gin along with a copy of our custom magazine, Gin Journal, delivered directly to their door. Members will also be invited to attend exclusive and special gin-centric events.
The accompanying magazine, Gin Journal, is a detailed guide to each month’s gin, including a profile of the maker, a behind-the-scenes look at how it was made, botanical information, tasting notes, cocktail recipes and other artisan distilleries in the region from which it hails.
“We love a good gin,” says founder Burge. “It’s what inspired us to establish the Gin Society. We wanted to create a space where we could curate and share some of the world’s finest artisan gins with a community of like-minded gin enthusiasts.”
