EasyStack, China’s open source cloud computing market leader, announced that it has completed its Series C++ round financing, led by a strategic investment from JD.com. As part of the agreement, both parties have committed to establishing an all-encompassing partnership in key areas of technology, products and marketing to provide enterprise customers with world-class cloud services. This most recent round of financing underscores that open source cloud computing has gained momentum in the Chinese market, achieving broad recognition from enterprise users across multiple industries.
On May 15, EasyStack announced that it had completed its Series C+ round financing, attracting investments totaling RMB 300 million from several RMB funds.
As part of the JD-led Series C++ round, EasyStack and JD Cloud will form a strategic partnership in enterprise cloud services to provide enterprise users a comprehensive cloud services experience, covering areas such as private cloud, public cloud and multi-cloud, with the goal of further penetrating both parties’ respective cloud computing markets and enabling them to provide better cloud services. In addition, EasyStack intends to collaborate closely with JD.com, and in particular, JD Cloud, to jointly build cloud platforms providing IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities.
Xilun Chen, founder and CEO of EasyStack said, “With this most recent round of financing led by China’s most respected e-commerce company, JD.com, I am confident that EasyStack is well on its way to realizing our long-term strategic goal of building a world-class cloud computing enterprise based on an open source ecosystem.”
Through the Series C++ round financing, EasyStack hopes to drive an all-encompassing strategic partnership with JD.com in areas such as technology, products and marketing. Meanwhile, EasyStack will push ahead with its corporate development as an independent entity dedicated to making consistent R&D investments in core technologies, developing cloud computing products and building an ecosystem for enterprise solutions, so as to create comprehensive cloud computing platforms that integrate with multiple clouds from infrastructure architecture to applications.
Tianzhuo Deng, Vice President of JD.com said, “This partnership will not only enable the integrated delivery of cloud computing to support more diversified scenarios, but it will also create greater value for both enterprise customers and their own ecosystems, shaping the landscape for the future of cloud computing.”
