Join to prevent two degrees of climate change, a pivotal point for Earth
Everyone, regardless of nationality or income, can contribute to preventing climate change. An eco-friendly blockchain project SEED (http://seedfoundation.io/) (Sino Eco Energy Development, CEO/Co-Founder: Yuan Wei Song,) has launched in Singapore. People can participate in the project in two ways: by directly participating in an eco-friendly energy business project or by proving that they are taking action to reduce carbon emissions.
According to the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar
With SEED, any individual can participate in a large-scale energy business to make small investments. People can receive rewards through “Physical Eco Proof of Work,” proving that they chose eco-friendly habits such as walking instead of driving.
The 1st project, SEED International Center, a 55-floor multi-complex to be built in Jakarta, starts in 2019. The center utilizes a passive energy design: solar panels and geothermal heat pumps will be used for power generation; while rainwater harvesting, rooftop gardens, green pathways and ecological streams minimize carbon emissions.
Yuan Wei Song has been appointed to be the CTO for Hong Jian Zhang. The organization was founded in 2015 by Guo Wei Tao, a government military strategy advisor, to elevate interest in environmental protection and education for 450 million young people.
Zhao Yun who has been in charge of CROD Group and Bund Holding Group is an advisor for SEED.
“Under the Paris Agreement in 2015, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, countries are taking various steps to keep temperature increase within 2 degrees Celsius by 2020. Yet, what 2 degrees Celsius means hasn’t been well communicated to the world. People don’t know how they can reduce carbon emissions,” said Yuan Wei Song. “SEED aims to open investment opportunities for highly profitable eco-friendly energy businesses to everyone. Previously, those were available only for institutional investors or persons of substantial financial means. With SEED, any individual can benefit by getting involved, through investments and/or eco-friendly habits.”
