The Union of Myanmar is focused on driving the national economy through the oil and gas industry. The multi-million investment in the Myanmar Offshore Supply Base (MOSB) to serve the drilling and production activities in the Bay of Bengal is our responsibility and effort to achieve that goal.
We are most happy and proud that both the federal government and the Mon state government fully back the new form of economy arising in the country. Mawlamyine, 24 February 2015 – Myanmar Offshore Supply Base (MOSB) Ltd. is most grateful for the distinctive opportunity to collaborate with the Ministry of Energy, the Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise and the Mon state government to plan, construct and actualise the fully integrated marine supply base in Mawlamyine. The new port facility is the only one of its kind in the country. This landmark project is envisaged to transform the economic landscape and logistic value of the area.
We see it as a long-term synergy with the Union of Myanmar government to propel the national economy and support and expand the local infrastructure as well. As such, we embrace the synergy with high spirit and look forward to creating opportunities for increased employment in Mon state and throughout the rest of the nation. In time to come, more and more jobs will be opening up and provide our own local workforce with a wider range of choices to upgrade their livelihood and standards of living.
