Kay Kay’s Fashion, a premier Black-owned, and female-owned organic cotton Luxury hair fashion accessory company announces the launch of their exclusive line of hair accessories, just in time for Juneteenth.
The brand is currently being sold at major luxury retailers across the United States this summer. Kay Kay’s is currently the only Black woman-owned brand selling scrunchies at high-end retailers.
Kay Kay’s hair scrunchie packs are available in two different styles of 6-piece print combinations, along with a 3-piece solid color assortment pack.
The organic cotton scrunchie is built around elastic with no metal and has a stretch closure.
The company imports its custom-designed products from an ethical and sustainable manufacturing facility.
Uchendu is the founder and CEO of Kay Kay’s World, LLC.
The Detroit-based company includes Kay Kay’s Fashion. Kelechi “Kay Kay” Uchendu, the company’s CEO and designer, explained, “A Kay Kay’s scrunchie is a statement-making reminder to live life unapologetically.
Our unique, beautiful luxuries were created with you in mind and act as a gentle ‘aide-memoire’ to remind you that who you are is more than enough.”
The brand is one of the few black-owned and women-owned businesses in the United States that are officially in the retail marketplace.
