Participating smart content enterprises gain a foothold into the Japanese market, the world power in smart contents
The Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea, and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, or NIPA, said that they introduced successfully Korea’s advanced smart contents during the Digital Content Expo 2018 (DCEXPO 2018). DCEXPO 2018, an annual digital content event, took place in Makuhari Messe, a convention center located in the northwest corner of Chiba prefecture, Japan, from November 14 to 16, 2018.
For DCEXPO 2018, “I-Korea 4.0 Smart Content Pavilion” was set up to promote Korea’s promising smart content enterprises and help their advancement into the Japanese market. A total of ten smart content companies joined and their outstanding smart contents based on new technologies, such as augmented reality (AR), big data, and platform, were presented and gained much interest from visitors. Participating companies include Starship Vending-Machine, APPOSTER, EpicLive, 3D MediVision, Pison Contents, Holotive Global, POPSLine, Sisto, Circus Company and Hanbitsoft.
They had a total of 214 business meetings to discuss their exports to Japan with major local buyers, such as Hitachi, Softbank, Panasonic, KDDI, NHK, TV Asahi, Toei Animation, Nintendo and Sony, that are worth US$12,000,000. Also two memorandums of understanding were concluded, providing the smart content companies a foothold into the Japanese market.
Director Nung Yoon Park at NIPA said, “We hope this participation in DCEXPO will play a helpful role for Korea’s smart content companies in exploring new markets in Japan, the world power in smart contents.”
