On September 12, 2018 China Telecom and Unisoc’s Full NetCom joint launching Ceremony was held at Shangri-La Hotel in Guangzhou. Unisoc announced that it has joined China Telecom’s NetCom industry alliance to help Telecom’s Full NetCom development and provide better products for its telecom partners. Senior leaders from the both companies attended the launch ceremony and delivered speeches.
In 2015, China Telecom and China Unicom released the “White Paper on all-network 6-mode devices” to promote the all-network terminal. In April 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially promulgated the national standard for the all-network 6-mode devices. In April and June 2017, they were certified and accredited by GCF and GSMA, the international standards organizations. The international standard was introduced to the entire network, which represented a milestone for China’s terminal and telecommunications industry. This also had a big impact on the global mobile phone and telecommunications industry. At the beginning of 2018, China Telecom announced 2018 terminal strategy and the plans to launch the full version of NetCom 3.0 and promote the network development through incentives, higher standards and sales.
2018 is a big year for China’s telecommunication industry in terms of development. 5G technology will introduce rapid development before commercial use. China’s 5G standards, R&D and testing have been following successfully the international arena, and the next stage will be the commercial chip. 5G represents the chip era, and its advanced technology and applications require the promotion and realization of the chip as a carrier. China Telecom will launch the full version of NetCom 3.0, and companies like Unisoc will join efforts to provide users with better service and experience.
