Surrey, United Kingdom (4th April, 2013) – Vocality, a global network router manufacturer and supplier of voice and data network routers to the satellite communications market, helped Speedboard, their exclusive manufacturing partner, celebrate their 30 year birthday last week with a visit from His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh.
Speedboard Assembly Services have been Vocality’s exclusive manufacturing partner for 3 years, and both organisations have become very close collaborators in the timely delivery of Vocality’s tactical and satellite communication solutions.
Speedboard is one of the UK’s leading contract electronic manufacturing (CEM) and electronics manufacturing service (EMS) providers. They are based close by Windsor Castle in the UK, so it was logical that the guest of honour for their open day should be H.R. H. The Duke of Edinburgh. During the presentation, Vocality CEO, Julian Bashford, gave the Duke of Edinburgh an overview of the ELITE Reactor, Vocality’s first responder tactical communications system for delivering voice and date securely over IP.
Richard Watson, Co-owner of Speedboard, commented: “To be able to introduce Prince Philip to Julian and Ben from Vocality and have them demonstrate Vocality’s products to him was simply a fantastic way to thank you to a great customer.”
A spokesperson for Vocality commented: “The open day was all about celebrating 30 years of British manufacturing and connected Speedboard’s staff, suppliers and key customers, such as Vocality, and allowed them to showcase their newly refurbished factory. We are thrilled to have been introduced to such a special guest and Vocality would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone at Speedboard a very happy 30th birthday.”
